Mason Jar Music is an audio/video production company and creative collective based in Brooklyn, NY combining the 21st century’s affordable digital tools with tried-and-true analog philosophies and skilled craftsmanship to create a wide range of high-quality multi-media products. Their work ranges from record production and scoring, to music videos and live concert recording/filming. Their flagship project, a video concert series they call Mason Jar Music Presents, pairs talented musicians with historic New York locations and original orchestral arrangements. Mason Jar Music believes in preserving analog principles in a digital age, in assembling a room of talented individuals and working together to create and capture a singular musical moment.

Mason Jar Music incorporated in 2010 and has since been featured on NPR’s All Things Considered and All Songs Considered, Spin, Brooklyn Vegan, The Huffington Post, The Village Voice, and was named the 6th Most Innovative Company in Music for 2012 by Fast Company’s annual listings. Their non-traditional live-performance work with Feist, The Wood Brothers, Abigail Washburn, Laura Gibson, Alicia Keys, and Josh Garrels has garnered hundreds of thousands of plays and resounding praise from all over the globe.

The company and the team have won awards and grants from Sony, First Run Film Festival, Songcircle, and NYU. Collectively and individually, they’ve created content for such clients as Focus Features, Sony Entertainment, The National Geographic Society, Rosanne Cash, Esperanza Spalding, Fela! The Musical, Director Ang Lee, and the Food Network, as well as a plethora of up-and-coming independent artists.
